Its like something out of a crazed kombat video game.
A 390 million year old scorpion claw was discovered in a German quarry that measured 46cm, indicating that its owner had to carry a length of over 8ft.
The creature, named Jaekelopterus rhenaniae, suggests that spiders, insects, crabs and similar creatures were much larger in the past than originally considered. Jaekelopterus rhenaniae holds the record for being the largest insect in existence.
