An Army (of sorts) Bombards Liberia

Exactly what is going on in Liberia, Africa?

Hundreds of thousands of army worms have hounded towns and villages, eating enormous quantities of thier crops and leaving its villagers starving.
A team of experts, led by an entemologist, reported the situation as "alarming and (only) worsening." The team also reported that the insects were consuming all and every living vegetation along its' way.
"When the catepillars, (which are known as the biggest gluttons in the animal kingdom), near maturity they can lay waste to an entire crop in a matter of days," states Agriculture Minister Christopher Toe. And with consumtion comes excretion; there are actually so many worms that they are polluting the villages' running water with their feces.
Government farming, health and environmental protection agency specialists have been sent to the affected areas to assist with the problem by safely spraying insecticides on the clean and safe crops. Source.
