Blue H Technologies, a dutch company, has invented the worlds first floating wind energy turbines; they were demonstrated at a trade show in Berlin.
Just this past Wednesday, Germany approved actions to combat climate change by using renewable energy. The country is hoping to have a clean source of energy to contribute up to 30% of its needs; compared to their current 12%.
This innovative new technology is set to sail off the coast of Puglia in southern Italy.
I believe this new free style form will change the way skeptics view wind energy since the number one complaint is their distracting view, (altho, I think they're beautiful.)
Not having to be anchored to the seabed floor, the wind turbines will be constantly changing their location.
I would love for the Raritan Bay out here to be full of them. Could you imagine if tall wind turbines became part of the NYC view?
